When trimmed right and in the groove the TRIAK accelerates like a motorcycle for a constant thrill and challenge to sailors of all skill levels.

The spinnaker (above) handles well off the wind in heavier breezes and can be tight-reached in light air. A sleek hull design with low-drag produces very little wake making the TRIAK incredibly efficient through the water.

Sailing just the main provides all around great performance and maneuverability, tacking and gybing well. Clocked at 15-16 knots on GPS the TRIAK is fun in light wind or 20+ knots. She deliverers a dry and comfortable ride even in rough conditions. On average in 5-10 knots of wind you'll do 3.5-7 knots with the main and 6-10 with the spinnaker. In 15-20 knots you'll average 5.5-9 with the main and 8-12 and up to 15-16 with the spinnaker.
TRIAK was designed from the ground up to be a performance sailing machine that still paddles as well as a traditional sea kayak. With a normal stroke the TRIAK will average 3.5-4 knots and can maintain 6 knots in a sprint. She glides through the water gracefully and maneuvers well.

The position and design of the wing and floats accommodates a full, unobstructed paddle stroke. A raised, bucket seat provides a natural sitting position for enhanced paddling performance and comfortable excursions.

Paddle-sailing (with the main sheeted in) gives you fast but easy paddling when there is just a slight breeze. TRIAK's sailing and paddling versatility make it the perfect craft for long trips. |
