About Us

The TRIAK boat was originally designed by Canadian Charlton Bullock in 1999. Mr. Bullock came from a strong sailing background and by trade designed world champion International 14’ dinghies. As his passion and design grew to include sea kayaking, the TRIAK emerged from his creative genius resulting in a craft that was superbly balanced in both sailing and paddling with a truly aesthetic blend of form and function.

In 2004, TRIAKsports, Inc. was founded and based in beautiful San Diego, California. The company introduced the TRIAK to the mainstream sailing and kayaking markets growing the TRIAK's recognition worldwide. The boat's unique dual-functioning abilities, appealing design, and stellar performance have been recognized and celebrated by both media and boat enthusiasts around the globe.

In 2010 TRIAKsports partnered with Morrelli & Melvin Design and Engineering one of the world’s best multihull design firms. Working with Morrelli and Melvin, TRIAKsports redesigned the craft modernizing the sailing rig, floats, foils and other other aspects of the boat to create a completely new TRIAK that is better than ever and extremely easy to use.

TRIAKs are found all over the world; in mainland United States, Hawaii and Alaska, Puerto Rico, British Columbia and Ontario Canada, the Caribbean, the United Kingdom, Germany, Scandinavia, Japan, China, South Korea, Chile, Peru, and elsewhere. The TRIAK has put smiles on the faces of people and families all over the world and will continue to do so as we improve and innovate to deliver excitement and adventure to those seeking it.
