Everything is controled from the cockpit while seated comfortably in the raised bucket seat. Unlike a sit-on-top design or kayak-conversion TRIAK's formed and padded seat is raised off the hull for incredible comfort and a very dry ride. The seat back and bottom are fully adjustable.

Built-in shock cords secure the sail on the deck ready for transporting on the freeway. Steering is achieved via foot pedals nestled inside the foot wells. Since you're sitting up and not IN the boat, the TRIAK comfortably fits people of all shapes and sizes. Somebody 6'4" and 250 lbs. will feel right at home in the TRIAK. The spinnaker stores under the seat and the rear hatch is easily accessible just behind the cockpit.

All controls are located on the deck for easy reach and operation.

  • A - Boom Vang (black). Secures and releases the rig.
  • B - Main Sheet (white). When sailing only the main, the only line you use.
  • C - Spinnaker Halyard (blue). Runs through Bi-Pod mast to top of Mast.
  • D - Spinnaker Outhaul/Tack (green). Takes tack of spinnaker to Bow Sprit.
  • E - Centerboard Line. Continuous line; one direction is up, the other down.
  • F - Spinnaker Sheet (red). Continuous sheet around cockpit and forestay.
  • G - Rudder Uphaul. The rudder stays down via a shock cord and weight.

Additionally there is an outhaul adjustment for the main located on the boom within reach while seated. The Ritchie Tactician Compass helps keep you on the best tack and track wind shifts.
